Booking of Facilities
Services / Operations
The General Permission department is responsible for granting permission for use of the following facilities owned by BMC. It also issues Pet Licenses.
Facilities available for booking
- Two Play Grounds
- City Center Kund Area
- BD Auditorium
- Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre (EZCC) Auditorium
- BJ Samaj Sadan
- GD Samaj Sadan
- Sukantanagar Samaj Kakshya
- Playground attached to the Community Center (Ward 28 to 41)
Booking procedure
- A file and a booking register are maintained for each facility.
- The applicant submits an application addressed to the Commissioner at the counter of the Corporation.
- Counter staff check availability on the requested day in the Booking Register.
- If available, a challan is generated as per the rate chart; the applicant pays at the bank and submits the bank receipt copy at the counter.
- The application with the payment receipt is placed in the file with remarks, and the file goes to the Commissioner for approval.
- Staff enter the booking in the General Permission software and generate an NOC, then the file goes to the Joint Municipal Commissioner (JMC) for final sign-off.
- After sign-off, staff update the booking register and the applicant collects the NOC from the counter.
There is a Community Center in each ward from Ward No. 28 to 41 which can be booked with the permission of the Councillor. For booking of the playground at the community center, the applicant submits an application at the counter with the NOC from the Councillor, then the approval process above is followed.
Pet License (fee Rs. 500)
- Submit the application at the counter. For renewal, attach a copy of the previous license.
- Staff generate a challan of Rs. 500 which the applicant pays at the bank, then submits the bank receipt copy at the counter.
- The application and receipt go in the file; the Commissioner approves it.
- Staff enter details in the Pet License software and generate the license; the file goes to the JMC for final sign-off.
- The applicant collects the license from the counter.
